Horological repair, restoration and machining
Every case is ultrasonically cleaned and lightly buffed which is part of a normal service.
Refinishing is an additional request by the customer.
Refinishing is used to describe returning the case to as close to like-new condition as possible including any surface finishes; example satin, brushed or bead blasted finish.
My goal is to have your watch leave my workshop with as much precious metal content as possible.
Some cases are plated and cannot be refinished as the plating would be removed.
Some cases have been refinished in the past by unqualified people and can no longer be brought back to a like new condition.
Let me know your desire for an original or custom finish and I can help you decide the appropriate level of hand buffing, buffing or refinishing for your case.
